Technology is changing how filmmakers, creatives, and production companies approach the design and execution of high-fidelity content. This panel brings together local professionals working with new technologies to discuss the present, the future, and the new opportunities they provide as well as how filmmakers can utilize them for their creative processes.

Will Thomsen (Host)

Will is the founder and owner of Fantastic Voyage, a creative production partner specializing in branded content, commercial film, and interactive storytelling. For the last 14 years, he’s created advertising campaigns and films for Google, VW, NASCAR, ESPN, SEC Network, Frank’s RedHot, and many others, through traditional and new technologies.

Tanner Grandstaff (Speaker)

Tanner is an innovative filmmaker working with a variety of technologies like virtual walls, Unreal Engine, and AI programs to help achieve high-fidelity film and content. His overarching mission resonates — to cast a radiant spotlight on Nashville’s expansive film landscape, fostering community, and beckoning fresh horizons from across the globe.

Ryan Berkey (Speaker)

Ryan is a partner and co-founder of the multi-disciplinary creative agency, Authors. With over 20 years of experience in the industry, he’s worked as a creative director, motion graphics designer, and visual artist. His specialties include integrated storytelling through live-action, 3D animation, visual effects, and real-time graphics.

Kali Bailey (Speaker)

Kali Bailey is a writer/director based in Nashville, TN, and working with major brands like Disney+ and Netflix, her work has gained widespread recognition. Her most recent writing and directing project “The Futurist,” a sci-fi feature film, is currently in post-production with five-time Emmy award winning Evolve Studios.

Justin Wylie (Speaker)

With over a decade of film industry experience under his belt, both as a cinematographer and producer, Justin Wylie brings a wealth of knowledge to his role as Technical Director for Gear Seven, Shift Dynamics, and Arc Studios. In this role, he oversees the procurement and implementation of cutting-edge cinematography tools and applications that Gear Seven and its partner brands utilize to deliver state-of-the-art results in video production.
