Julia Sweitzer

Julia Sweitzer is a co-founder of Nashville Design Week and serves as Board Chair for the organization. She spent four years working in the fashion industry in Nashville after spending two years in research analyst roles in Washington DC. She first cut her teeth in the fashion industry as the first full-time hire for the Nashville Fashion Alliance and then dove deep into apparel product development at one of the largest apparel firms in the world, VF Corporation.

In 2021, Julia moved to Los Angeles to pursue an MBA at the UCLA Anderson School of Management. There she found that the passions that led her to the apparel industry directed her to a passion for food systems design and its impact on women’s health outcomes. She spent two years incubating a women’s health + sustainable food business idea while in school and transferred that knowledge into her current role as President of OneSun Farms. While she may have an LA zipcode for the time being, she and her husband make 4+ trips a year to Nashville to attend Nashville Design Week, spend time with family, and try to keep up with the ever-growing Nashville restaurant and cocktail bar scene.
