Katie Smalley

Design for: Connection. A Nashville native and avid supporter of the arts, Katherine (Katie) Smalley has been an active member of the NDW board of directors since 2021. A 2013 graduate of Centre College and 2016 graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Law, Katie is an associate attorney at Bass Berry & Sims, PLC who represents public and private borrowers, private equity sponsors and financial institutions in negotiating and documenting financing transactions. While her day job does not often afford her much opportunity to connect with the design community, she is thankful for how her work with NDW allows her to meet so many creatives engaging in meaningful design conversations in Nashville.
