Veronica Foster

Veronica Foster is the Director of Communications for Nashville Design Week. Alongside the Brand Partner, she manages the ethos of NDW through external communication strategy. She is always finding ways to bring it back to the root of why each and every one of us designs and she loves challenging the design community to do more. Veronica spends her days working as the Communications + Advocacy Manager for the Civic Design Center, where she is the mind, pen and cursor behind the organization’s voice, managing strategic messaging across all departments. She also manages individual donor relationships for the organization.
Veronica studied Cognitive + Brain Sciences and Urban Studies at Tufts University in Boston, connecting the built environment experience to our brain waves. After moving to Seattle, Veronica managed marketing, sales, and programming for a coworking community. There, she cultivated a community of professionals using public process techniques that are regularly used in urban design projects. At the Design Center, Veronica is most passionate about sharing community stories and empowering Nashvillians to advocate for their visions. When she’s not working or volunteering, she loves to host a theme party, play fetch with her cat, and eat her way through Nashville.
