  • Kem Hinton is an architect, urban designer, visual artist, historian, public speaker, and author.  He was born in Nashville and raised in nearby Murfreesboro.  Kem received the Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Tennessee (recipient of Torchbearer Award) and Master of Architecture degree from the University of Pennsylvania and the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris.

  • Tim Netsch is veteran Metro leader who has helped shape Nashville’s park system and the public realm for over thirty years. He began his career at the Metropolitan Historical Commission and is currently an Assistant Director at Metro Parks on assignment to the East Bank development team. Tim has managed innumerable planning, design, construction and conservation projects throughout Nashville’s park system.

  • Ann McGauran is an architect and seasoned real estate professional with extensive experience with large multi-facility government, judicial, healthcare, and education institutions who currently serves as the Tennessee State Architect. 

    Ann has served in a variety of real estate roles for the State of TN since 2013 and was unanimously appointed as State Architect by the Tennessee State Building Commission (SBC) in 2017.

Join us for a collaborative workshop where teams will be tasked with envisioning and designing a park that celebrates Nashville’s heritage and projects its aspirations into the next century. With a focus on sustainability, inclusivity, technological integration, and cultural expression, this event aims to spark ideas and lay the groundwork for a transformative urban space. Attendees are encouraged to brainstorm ahead of time and bring inspiring ideas to the event.
