OUR HISTORY

Nashville Design Week was founded in 2018 with the desire to make connections across a vast spectrum of creative fields in Nashville. It all started with a simple idea: Let’s stop only talking to ourselves. Nashville Design Week aims to get design-minded people out from behind their desks, into the community, and engaged in conversations.

Since 2018, Nashville Design Week has planned and hosted a week-long event annually in the Fall, including dozens of locally-hosted events from various fields. These events have been panels, exhibitions, workshops, and more. Nashville Design Week has financially operated through the help and generosity of our community sponsors.

In 2019, Nashville Design Week became an independent 501(c)3 non-profit, forming its first Board of Directors in 2020.
